RAODS Youth presents Alice in WonderlandLisa Gilmour, in her debut as a Director for RAODS, has brought her original adaption of both Alice In Wonderland and Through The Looking Glass to life in this wonderful youth production. Recent youth productions (Guys And Dolls and Singin' In The Rain, in 2006 and 2007 respectively) have entertained packed audiences, and earned Daily Echo Curtain Call Awards as well. With a cast of over 20 - ranging in ages from 6 to 21 -this show brings you all of the well known Lewis Carroll creations such as the White Rabbit, Mad Hatter, Cheshire Cat, Queen of Hearts. RAODS presents Third Week in Augustby Peter Gordon A rare event for RAODS - two plays by the same author in one season. Another Peter Gordon comedy - Murdered To Death - was a sell-out in May, and the same non-stop fun and entertainment can be expected from this story - which tells the tale of... Sue, who - deciding to try a “get away from everybody” caravan holiday - little realises that she's booked into the caravan site from hell! She is soon taken under the wing of expert, but inadequate, caravaner, Neville. That's when he’s not engaged in battle with his wife or trying to cope with his separated sister-in-law. Matters become complicated with the arrival of the enthusiastic Tony and his reluctant girlfriend. Neville decides that a communal barbecue is the order of the day... then things really start to hot up! Performances: |

RAODS presents Variety TheatreAn evening of variety, in the best Victorian style. For those of you who remember The Good Old Days (from Leeds Variety Theatre) expect nothing less! As the man with the gavel might put it... “terpsichorean delights; soft shoe shuffling; a song, a sigh, and a sense of humour”. All will be here. And, who knows, a bit of audience participation as well. A gathering together of RAODS' accomplished and award winning performers, to give you an evening to remember. Performances: |

RAODS presents Snoopy The MusicalBased on the comic strip Peanuts by Charles M. Schulz, this show ran for 152 performances on Broadway in 1982. It then appeared in the West End in 1983, where it won the Olivier Award. The West End cast included Susie Blake, who went on to appear in Victoria Wood’s cult TV comedy series. As with the cartoon strip, this is a show that has appeal for everyone. Atop his kennel, Snoopy surveys the skies, scene of his triumph as a First World War flying ace. Modestly he considers his genius. Stoically he accepts that his brilliance in nearly every field of endeavour will forever go unmarked by humankind. He can but uphold his own high standards. (“I refuse to chase a stick that hasn't been properly sanded and polished”). No wonder Charlie Brown wonders whether he should trade Snoopy in for a cat! Performances: |
